The Hanging Gardens of Babylon by Farshid Amini
One of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon is a perfect example of a romantic monument. According to legend, the king of Babylon built the most beautiful garden in the world as a gift for his wife. This garden is not an actual historic building, but a poetic creation rooted in mythology.
Today, this legend is brought to life in this visual representation. The Hanging Gardens are composed of tiered gardens sitting on raised structures. The climbing plants and suspended vines overhang from colonnades and terraces. At the heart of the building, a pathway of intertwining stairs ascends to the high garden while the waterfalls cascade down into the stepped pools. This scene occurs during the sunset's golden hour to create a timeless sentimental experience.
