Sitting Buddhas -2 - by mario zein

In my mountain village there are a lot of pine trees on sloped forest lands. I often go there on foggy days and get lost in its magical milieu. Very recently I envisioned some getaway cabins nestled between those trees and settled individually on different platform levels taking into account the average slope study. The Design focuses on wooden monoliths with organic curved bending arms, inspired by human silhouettes in Yoga poses. Stretching between earth and the sky, they mimic trees and reflect Nature through their glazed openings. Those small cabins of 2 story floors + attic in the sloped roof, present two opposite outdoor extensions: A communal one around a circular fire pit and an individual one for solo meditation practice. Earthly tones, warm wood and nature’s materials smoothly blend with the forest habitat. A healing vision for a better tomorrow and a holistic shelter for the mindful seeker
