L.A. Allee by Jared Davenport

L.A. Allee is an intergenerational housing comlex in the Mar Vista neighborhood in Los Angeles, CA. The complex uses an allee between apartment buildings to create opportunities for interaction by the residents and prevent social isolation in the elderly population in the community. Entries into the apartments face this space to increase these social opportunities. The rendering depicts the allee space being used by the residents on a bright, beautiful L.A. day. It shows some ways the space could be used: to relax, exercise, meet or just walk from the nearby community center or the public streetcar platform.
