one last gathering by Ägidius Vockenhuber

The leading concept was the idea of creating a building that stands like a sculpture in the landscape and seems to grow out of it. Clearly and unambiguously shaped, it underlines his desire for integrity and authenticity, as well as his desire to age with dignity.
The upper floor, encased in wood, is used for sales and tasting. A material for the human body with its special warmth. Production is located in the basement. The herbs are hung up and dried according to tradition. The ground floor finds its material expression in the interplay of the storage mass of the concrete and the lightness of the wood.
" It was important for me with this perspective to showcase the interaction between the worker, who is gathering the herbs from the fields and the building, which should give the herbs a new almost sacred home for further production."
